Ewa **The Striking Viking** Mataya Laurance is a Swedish-American professional who was the dominant women's player of the 1980s and one of the WPBA's most successful long-career players.
Mataya Laurance won the WPA World Nine-ball Championship in 1986 and 1994 and accumulated dozens of WPBA Classic Tour titles. She has been a commentator and instructor for ESPN cue-sports coverage for more than two decades.
She was inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame in 2004 and the WPBA Hall of Fame in 2013.
