Luther Lassiter

Luther **Wimpy** Lassiter, born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, was one of the greatest all-discipline players of the post-WWII era and a defining figure of the road-action generation.
Lassiter won the World All-Around Pocket Billiards title three times and was the World Open Nine-ball Champion in 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, and 1967 — five consecutive titles by 1965. He is widely cited as the strongest hustler-era nine-ball player on record.
He was inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame in 1983.
